Scout Sixteen

I had the pleasure this past week to photograph the very talented Justin Livingston. I have actually followed his fashion blog for quite some time now. His style is pretty amazing. We had planned to do a some shots of his outfit for his blog but.....then the famous New York rain decided to change our plans. I say "famous" because it's actually become that way from the beginning of spring to now summer. I am not a fan.

Anyways even though it decided to rain I told him "let's just make something awesome in a coffee shop." I knew the perfect place. Gasoline Alley Coffee is a hidden gem on Lafayette, near Houston. I knew they had open windows and well amazing coffee. We sat and talked....awesome guy by the way. His blog is going to be taking a beautiful design turn soon, and will be featuring his many creative talents....I CAN'T WAIT. It was actually kind of nice having to accept the challenge of the rain and make something beautiful out of an overcast day. I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet Justin and just talk to him about everything. We talked about our dreams. I found out how he got here and all the opportunities he is being given because of his creative skills. Sometimes it is nice to just take a minute and grab a nice iced coffee and a big hibiscus donut and just relax. Made me take a minute and realize if you work hard...constantly you will get where you want to be. Only YOU can make it happen, and if you really want it too it will.

Thank you again justin for a beautiful afternoon, so glad to call you a friend.

xx
